FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Everything people ask us before opening their first file.
What is a Detective Tales case?
A fictional investigation file: police reports, statements, photos, plans, messages and puzzles. You read the evidence, connect the clues, then accuse a culprit. The game gives you your score and the real solution.
Do I need to download anything?
No. Everything plays in the browser, on a phone, tablet or computer. Cases that have one also come with a printable PDF version.
How long does a case take?
Between 30 minutes and 3 hours depending on the case and your group. You can stop at any time: your progress is kept.
Can we play as a group?
Yes, that is what it is made for. One purchase covers the whole group: open an investigation room and your friends join it with a code, each on their own phone, without an account (up to 6 detectives). You can also play around one screen.
How do I pay?
By BaridiMob or CCP. Choose the case, pay, then send a photo of the receipt from the order page. Once checked, the case appears in your account, usually within 24 hours.
How much does it cost?
One case: 1 500 DA – 2 000 DA. Any 3 cases: 3 500 DA. Every case: 5 900 DA. The first case is free, with no account and no payment.
I received a code. What do I do with it?
Sign in, open “My account” (or the case's page) and type the code. The case is added to your account. A code works for one account only.
I am stuck. What now?
On the accusation tab, every question has a “Hint” button that rules out one wrong answer, for 1 point. Read the statements again too: the contradictions are there.
I lost my progress.
When you are signed in, your progress is saved online and you find it on all your devices. Without an account (free case), it stays in the browser you used.
Are the stories true?
No. All cases, people, companies and specific places are made up. Any resemblance is a coincidence.
